HISTORIC HAILE HOMESTEAD DOCENT’S LUNCHEON

The home is one of the few remaining examples of rural Florida architecture and is kept open by volunteers. They will be cleaning the house and yard in preparation for the annual Christmas festivities. This is our opportunity to thank them for what they do. As you are probably aware the original owner of the home, Thomas Haile and his eldest son John Chestnut Haile were soldiers in the Confederate army and rode in the 5th Cavalry Battalion and are buried at the Kanapaha Cemetery.

This is an excellent time for fellowship with camp members and their spouses or guests.
